Tony Cripps was the Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Singapore, the leading international bank in Singapore supporting retail, business, corporate and institutional banking customers through its network of local branches and offices.
Tony has worked in banking for more than 30 years, with management roles in institutional banking, treasury, trading and sales businesses, transaction banking, information technology and operations. Tony was appointed to the Board of HSBC Singapore in 2016. He was also appointed as HSBC Group General Manager in 2016, before he joined SABB as the Managing Director & CEO in May 2021.
Bandar Al-Gheshayan is the Chief Retail Banking and Wealth Management Officer since 9 May, 2022.
Bandar has more than 22 years of extensive experience in several sectors and 16 years in retail banking. He joined SABB in 2012 and has held various leadership positions, including Regional Head of Retail Banking and Chief Operating Officer, Retail Banking and Wealth Management.
Bandar holds a Master’s degree in International Management from the University of Liverpool and attended various programmes in executive leadership and management from (London Business School, IMD, INSEAD and Cambridge).
Khalid Ismail was appointed as the Chief Risk Officer in June 2022.
Khalid has worked in many banks over the years in different capacities holding management positions in Corporate banking and risk in several regions in the Kingdom. He worked as a Corporate Treasurer for one of the leading Saudi Corporations covering multiple asset classes across Public Equity, Private Equity, and Real Estate.
In addition to that, Khalid has held different board positions in companies in different sectors the last being an Independent Board Member and Chairman of the Audit Committee of MEDGULF Insurance company In 2018, Khalid joined Alawwal bank as Deputy Head of Corporate Banking.
Khalid graduated from Boston College with a Degree in Business Management and Accounting.
Rania has been the Chief Human Resources Officer since February 2022.
Rania is an accomplished HR Executive with over 10 years of experience in Human Resources. She started her professional journey in recruitment and talent management, and in 2014 progressed to a senior manager role in organizational development where she led several flagship programmes. In March 2018 she was appointed as the Head of HR in SABB Takaful until February 2020.
Rania holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Brunel University. London, United Kingdom. She also has several HR accreditations including CIPD, the Work-Life Certified Professional (WLCP) and Coaching Leader (CLP), as well as executive education from London Business School, INSEAD and Harvard University.
Saeed Assiri was appointed Chief Digital Officer on April 2022.
Saeed Assiri has over 13 years of experience working across the Saudi banking sector, during which he held several leadership positions. He joined SABB in 2021 as Head of the Digital Strategy and Innovation Department, where he oversaw the development of the bank’s strategy for innovation and digital transformation.
He holds a master’s degree in engineering and technology management from Portland State University, USA.
Abdulhamid Alharbi was appointed Chief Internal Auditor in May 2019.
He began his career with SABB as a Resident Trainee Officer, then moved on to Corporate Banking as an RM, and afterward as a Team Leader. After growing in Corporate, he joined the Audit function as a senior Manager. Later on, he moved between a several Leadership roles such as Regional Head of Corporate Banking for Central Province, Head of Wholesale Credit, Co-Head of Commercial Banking, and Head of Special Asset Management.
Ali Al-Qahtani was appointed Chief Compliance Officer at SABB in April 2021.He joined SABB in 2013 and has held various compliance positions, the most recent being Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Financial Crime Compliance.
Ali has more than 22 years of in-depth experience and knowledge in Compliance and IT, in addition to his extensive experience in Financial Crimes, Fraud, internal control and IT project management. He had chaired number of banking committees in Compliance and Financial Crimes.
Ali Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Diploma in Information Technology.
Ghada Al Jarbou is the Chief Operating Officer since October 2020. Ghada is a strong Saudi-talent leader and a youth professional with more than 22 years of diversified banking experience across different banking fields including Information Technology, Human Resources, Retail Banking & Wealth Management and Corporate and Institutional Banking. Throughout her career, she held various executive roles within SABB prior to her current recent including Senior IT Program Manager, Head of Service Delivery, Head of Retail Digital Banking and Retail Banking Chief Operating Officer, and recently the General Manager of Global Liquidity & Cash Management.
Ghada comes with a strong educational background where she holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Bath, UK, and had her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from King Saud University.
Faten Abalkhail, Company Secretary at SABB, is a seasoned banker with more than 21 years of experience with in-depth knowledge in planning, governance of strategic initiatives, execution, and process. She previously held various positions in Business, Operations, and Control functions including; Treasury, Retail, Strategy, and Finance groups. Faten was recently Head of Planning & Control in the Strategy and Finance function.
Faten Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics and Nutrition and a Diploma in Computer Sciences, Programming & Information Systems.
Faris Alshareef was appointed as Chief Strategy Officer in March 2021. Previously, he served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer, Head of Investor relations and other roles at SABB. Prior to joining SABB, Faris worked in reputable organizations such as Ernst & Young, General Electric and Bahri. He played important roles in areas such as financial planning and analysis, reporting and commercial finance.
Faris graduated from General Electric’s leadership program (CAS) and passed CPA exams. He holds MBA degree from London Business School (LBS) and bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM).
Lama Ghazzaoui was appointed Chief Financial Officer in April 2021. She was the Chief Financial Officer at NCB for 8 years with a long and successful 24 year career. She is widely respected in the industry and has considerable experience in all aspects of accounting and finance for financial institutions.
Lama is a Bachelor of Science graduate from the Lebanese American University in 1996 in Accounting, and then obtained her CPA accreditation in 2001 from the State of Colorado, USA.
Mohammed was the General Manager Treasury of Alawwal bank since 2012. Prior to joining Alawwal bank, Mohammed has held various treasury roles since 1994 at Samba, with extensive experience across functions including cash management, sales and trading. During his time at Samba Financial Group, Mohammed was Head of the Fixed Income Investment portfolio, Money Market and Treasurer of Samba London, and a member of the group’s Executive Management Committee.
Mohammed holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and has completed executive programs at INSEAD Fontainebleau and Oxford University.
Musaifer AlOsaimi has been SABB Chief Information Officer since 2016. He has more than 26 years of experience in the banking and technology fields. He started his career in 1994 in the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority for more than 10 years within the Banking Technology department. In 2005, he joined SABB progressing through different roles in the Information Technology department like the Head of Payment Channels and the Head of Software and Solutions Development. Throughout the years, Musaifer played a substantial role in the strategic transformation of SABB IT. Musaifer has completed a number of executive training programs in management, leadership, and strategy offered by international centers and universities.
Mashael was appointed as Chief Legal Officer in January 2021. Prior to joining SABB, Mashael worked in top ranking law firms including AS&H-Clifford Chance LLP and K&A-Allen & Overy LLP, where she has gained considerable experience in advising financial and other institutions on a number of landmark transactions.
Mashael is qualified to practice law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of New York.
Mashael also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Duke University (US) and a Bachelor of Arts in Law from Prince Sultan University, (KSA).
Yasser Albarrak is the Chief Corporate and Institutional Banking Officer since 1 July 2022.
Yasser Al-Barrak was appointed to lead the corporate and institutional banking sector at SABB owing to his expertise and practical experience in the banking industry in the Kingdom spanning more than 18 years. Yasser joined SABB in 2012 and has held many leadership positions, the most recent being General Manager of Global Corporate and Institutional Banking since May 2019, and Co-Head of Global Banking from 2017 to 2019. Served also as Head of the Public Sector from 2013 to 2017.
He graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems. He is a board member of Alawwal Invest Company, as well as the SABB Takaful Company’s Board of Directors.
All SABB’s IFS Islamic products, services and transactions are vetted and approved by an independent Shariah Committee to ensure total Shariah compliance.

Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Mutlaq – SC Chairman
Sheikh Dr. Abdullah is a consultant of the Royal Diwan and is a member of the Senior Sharia Scholars Council and a member of the Permanent Committee for Research and Pronouncements (Iftaa).
Sheikh Dr. Abdullah holds a PhD from Imam Mohammed Bin Saud University, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1404H. Sheikh Abdullah is a Professor of Shariah and was formerly Chairman of the University’s Comparative Fiqh Department.
Sheikh Dr. Abdullah is a member of many Saudi banks’ Shariah Committees and also a member of numerous of Shariah Councils such as AAOFI Shariah Board Bahrain.
Sheikh Dr. Abdullah has supervised a number of PhD theses and has participated in the discussion of a number of MA and PhD dissertations. He has compiled a number of Shariah rulings (interpretive opinion) and is an author of a number of books and researches on Islamic economy.
